The Why Behind the Work
I’m Dr. Innovation, an educator at heart, a lifelong learner by choice, and an advocate for reimagining what education can be. My journey in education started with a simple belief: that every student deserves to be inspired, empowered, and engaged. Over the years, that belief has grown into a mission—to help teachers rediscover the spark of creativity, connection, and purpose in their work.
After 24 years in the classroom and beyond, I’ve seen firsthand the incredible resilience and innovation teachers bring to their students every day. I’ve also felt the weight of burnout, the challenge of keeping up with constant change, and the need for spaces where we, as educators, can recharge and reimagine together.
That’s why I created The Innovators’ Lounge. This isn’t just a blog—it’s a space for educators like you and me to explore new ideas, share our stories, and inspire each other to keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in education.

When I’m not writing or collaborating with incredible teachers, you’ll find me enjoying the best that life has to offer—reading, spending time with family, experimenting with new teaching techniques. These passions remind me why I’m here: to blend curiosity, creativity, and connection into everything I do.
